Patience of a Saint

While Obama makes jokes with folks at expensive dinners,
while Obama is laughing the people are crying at man's
destruction and pollution of the animals, oceans and skies.

When will man come to his senses and feel the tensity of
his transgression of the spiritual law? Humanity are being
trampled on the floor Father, what are we going to do?

The people are ready for the uprising, can they do it without
violence? Help them Father to do it without bloodshed.
Raise them up Father don't let them face the carver.
The oil slicks a mess and everyone is running to their nests.

My babies lay on their Fathers chests and their mothers
worker harder than ever. Aunts and uncles wonder what will
become of us all. Humanity continues to fall like the Tree
cut with the axe.

What about the taxes Father when is enough, enough.
Even on their puff, stuff, and cuff. Is nothing sacred
anymore for the poor?

Sheer stupidty I hear them say, they will not allow
them to reduce their pay. Families cannot live on what
is being given to them by the state that has bled them dry.

How big is the pie where the blackbird resides?
They've seen the tides in the dreams that you gave them.
They have trusted in you and the promises that you
made them. Oh heavenly Father you ask them to be as
patient as a saint.
